Artist Biography
Citadyl, pronounced /Sit-uh-duhl/, is an accomplished drummer, vocalist, and multi instrumentalist from Cheatham County, Tennessee and is based out of Nashville, Tn. Working across drums, percussion, trumpet, and keys, his music blends technical precision with raw emotional weight, creating a sound that feels less like performance and more like ritual.
He first gained recognition as the drummer for the hard rock and metal band Thousandfold, helping shape a powerful, atmospheric sound that earned regional, national, and international traction. Known for discipline, intensity, and instinct, his playing carried both force and intention.
After stepping away from music for several years, a return through an open jam reignited something deeper. That moment marked a turning point, leading to a new chapter as a vocalist and songwriter. What followed was not just a return, but a transformation.
Citadyl’s work now draws from a melting pot of genres including blues, rock, metal, folk, jazz, pop, industrial, and Americana. His sound moves between grit and atmosphere, the raw and the refined, grounded in storytelling that feels both personal and timeless.
Rooted in personal spiritual practice and the dark arts, his music embodies what he calls the gospel in the dirt. It is a sound born from dust, belief, and shadow. Blues carried through darkness. Gospel whispered through unseen spaces. Rhythm that feels like a pulse beneath the surface.
Citadyl creates music that lingers, haunts, and calls.
"The goal is not just to make music, but to create something that feels lived in. Something that carries weight. Every song comes from a place beneath the surface, shaped by experience, silence, and return. It's a journey. The gospel in the dirt is about truth in its rawest form. Not polished. Not forced. Just real." -Citadyl
